Sophie Family
Delete your account
How to delete your Sophie Family account (the app relatives use to call a care-home resident's Sophie screen), made by Burf Robotics Ltd.
Last updated 25 October 2026.
In the app (quickest)
- Open Sophie Family and sign in.
- Tap Account (top right).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Read what will happen, then tap Delete my account again.
It happens straight away. You're signed out on every phone and tablet, and calls stop ringing them.
Without the app
Use the contact form. Give the email address the care home has for you and write "Delete my Sophie Family account" in the message. We'll email that address to confirm, and delete the account within 7 days of your reply. We only act once the confirmation is answered from that address, so nobody else can delete your account.
You can also ask the care home to remove you from your relative's approved list. That switches off your sign-in, calls and updates straight away.
What is deleted
- Your approval to contact each resident you were connected to, so the app and Sophie stop working for you.
- Your sign-in sessions on every device.
- Your push tokens (what lets a call ring your phone).
- Your photo.
- Your call history.
- Any unused sign-in codes and invitation links.
What is kept, and why
- A record that you were once approved (your name, email address, relationship, and who approved and removed you, and when). The care home keeps this as part of its safeguarding history of who could contact a resident. It no longer works for anything.
- Messages you've already left for the resident. They are part of the resident's record held for the care home.
Calls were never recorded, so there is nothing to delete there.
Using Sophie Family again
You can't sign up on your own. If you want to use the app again later, ask the care home to add you again.
